The state of the art facility is located on a 55 acre plot adjacent the Albany Highway Bypass. The campus is designed to house 624 maximum, medium and minimum security male and female inmates. Three (3) housing units containing each security type are connected with secure passage ways to administrative and support buildings totaling 305,000 square feet of occupied area. A fourth unit of four (4) pods containing 192 additional inmates can be added in the future as demand may increases and funding allows.
Support areas include administration, education, vocational training, kitchen, dining, laundry, recreational, gymnasium and sally port operations.
