Louis Stokes Station at Windermere Greater Cleveland Rapid Transit Authority (RTA) Cleveland, Ohio
The existing transit station needed to remain operational while construction of this replacement station was completed. This new station was immediately adjacent to the former which afforded a continuity of access, services and viability within the community.
Planning and consulting with the RTA and the architect of record included peer reviews, complete architectural and engineering reviews of all documents during all phases of development. Technical reviews and studies were also prepared in analysis of various potential solutions. We addressed planning and transit issues such as passenger circulation, safety and security. Constructability and budget limitations effected building siting, influenced the massing and form of the facility, its volumetric articulation, final appropriations of materials, finishes and overall aesthetics.
